The Super Sensitive Human Diet

I recommend that every person on the planet eat organic, whole foods free from pesticides, preservatives, artificial colorings and flavorings, and rancid oils. Which is a lot harder than it sounds. Try to get something from the Whole Foods deli and 90% of what you encounter has soy or canola oil, try and pick up some fish or chicken at the local Safeway and you'll find it pumped with sodium triphosphate. Perhaps then some frozen peaches to throw in a smoothie? Sorry, preserved in citric acid to retain color.

I hate that our current world is so full of poisons and I'm sooooooo happy that the Paleo diet has taken off, and daily you can find new products on the shelves, mayo made with canola oil, sriracha made with honey, beef jerky free from sugar and MSG.  

As a super sensitive human I have special dietary needs. First of all I am simply more affected than the average person by toxic foodstuffs and always will be. Sensitive people are canaries in the coal mine when it comes to chemicals and other disharmonious elements in the environment. Second of all I have a long-term illness, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is what happens when sensitivity is not well-managed, which I did not in the entire first 30 years of my life, which means I eat am sensitive even to many natural, healthy foods, and eat (begrudgingly) an even more refined diet than a whole food diet. In fact, diet is my primary method of healing. The diet I eat is constantly changing but does not fall in line with any existing diet. Right now, it would most easily be described as primarily low-starch, secondarily low-carb, paleo.

I also consider myself a "weird-foodist", that is I like trying new and unusual things. I'm addicted to variety, and even on a restricted diet, variations are limitless. 

As cliche as it sounds, I believe everyone should test, play around, and eat the diet that feels right for them. But on this site I will feature foods and recipes inspired by the paleo, paleo autoimmune, ketogenic, low-carb, gluten-free, sugar-free, raw vegan, green smoothie, Weston A. Price, Whole-30, and GAPs communities. I also have some really unusual thoughts on determining right diet by watching synchronicity.
